On any given day, you would think of icebergs once maybe, in passing. Somedays you might not even think of them at all! But you should. Here’s some good reasons why:
Icebergs are also known as ‘bergs. Ergo, they’re hip and down with the kids.
When an iceberg melts, it actually makes a sound, and this sound is called ‘Bergie Seltzer’. Imagine calling your kid that.
The National Ice Center actually names and tracks all Antarctic icebergs. They’re not very creative with the naming though. B12? You can do better than that guys.
The smallest category icebergs are called ‘growler’. Awwwwww!
And so many more! So what are you to do? You want to show you care about icebergs but you’d rather have it ready-handed to you, easy peasy. Well don’t fret! Following the traditions of such hallowed days like Mother’s day and Valentines day, we give you: International Iceberg Appreciation Day. June 2 shall be when the world comes together and thinks of the icebergs, even if for a small moment of your day.
Please use #iceberg in your communications on Iceberg Day.
